The lamp market is going through dynamic changes. With the ban of the conventional light bulbs as per the EuP legislation, LEDs  are likely to become the light source of the future. Keeping this in view, Havells Sylvania, one of the leading global designers and suppliers of lighting systems, has set new standards in the lighting market. As its core effort, the company has aggressively pushed the evolution of LED lamps. With the launch of their new LED retrofit ranges HI-SPOT® RefLED and ToLEDo, Havells Sylvania offers a promising replacement for incandescent, halogen and CFL lamps, achieving  an energy saving potential of up to 90%. Havells Sylvanias LED lamps offer more than  50% more light than equivalent LED lamps in the market. 

With the new LED solutions Havells Sylvania has been able to address various customer requirements.   Due to their low energy consumption and longer life span, Havells Sylvania LEDs are not only the best proposition as value for money but also as an environmental friendly application. They are a perfect fit for domestic use as well as for professional lighting solutions in shops, leisure attractions, malls, restaurants, hotels, museums and other public buildings. The lamps will fit comfortably into most of the domestic light fixtures and can be used as direct replacement for the standard light bulb. Unlike previous generation LED lamps, Havells Sylvania LEDs offer an extremely high light output up to 52 lumen per watt with an instant start. The new LED lamps have a ‘warm white’ colour temperature of 2600 to 3000K, which is almost identical to tungsten halogen lamps. All LEDs can tolerate over 60,000 switching cycles without compromising on performance. Moreover, they are free from UV-light, hazardous gases or mercury. Their unique construction ensures perfect insulation of the metal casing, making them extremely safe to use even in humid conditions.
In the first quarter of 2010 Havells Sylvania will launch two LED retrofit ranges: the HI-SPOT ® RefLED line with five lamps for directional spot light  and the ToLEDo line with three different products for non-directional light. With the HI-SPOT ® RefLED ES50 Havells Sylvania offers one of the world’s first true retrofit LED spots with GU10 base and the same output as a 35W halogen lamp for just 3.5W of power.
